Management Objectives
All employees at Horizon Drilling are
not only the most important assets of the company, they are the company.
The personal safety of each employee at
Horizon Drilling is of primary importance. Horizon acknowledges the
fact that active participation by management, supervisors and all other
employee's is necessary in the prevention of undesirable
incidents.
The management team accepts the responsibility for
leadership of the safety program, for its effectiveness and improvement
and for providing the safeguards required to ensure safe working
conditions for all.
Supervisors (this includes everyone from upper
management to worksite mentors):
Are responsible for developing the proper attitudes
towards safety, both in themselves and in those they supervise.
Supervisors are to ensure that all operations are performed with the
utmost regard for the safety of all personnel and to promote this culture
as part of their daily routines.
Employees: Are responsible
for wholehearted cooperation with all aspects of the safety program
including compliance with all rules and regulations and for continually
practicing prescribed and authorized safe work procedures while performing
their duties.
The management team is committed to protecting
the environment and to maintaining the highest quality standards in public
health and safety at all operating locations in order to amplify the
quality of the environment for future generations.
To the greatest
degree possible the management at Horizon Drilling provides all
mechanical and physical facilities required for personal safety in keeping
with the highest standards.
Management's objectives with respect to incident
prevention are to:
1. Comply
with all government laws, legislation and regulations applicable to our
operations (WCB, EUB, OH&S and Environmental, etc.).
2. Make
efficient use of natural resources by minimizing waste, recycling when
applicable and conserving energy, water and forests.
3.
Provide safe working conditions and well-maintained equipment.
